The Company offers you and your eligible family members an opportunity to elect to participate in benefit programs to meet your specific needs. We encourage you to take the time to educate yourself about your options and choose the best coverage for you and your family.
Within your first seven to ten days of employment you will receive an email with your enrollment instructions. You can also use the information below. Please note you will not be in the benefits enrollment system until you have been employed for at least seven days.
HOW TO ENROLL:
Benefitsolver manages our benefits enrollment. Benefitsolver has a website available at www.benefitsolver.com
for you to view and manage your benefits 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Access the Benefitsolver site using Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6 or higher, Mozilla Firefox version 3 or higher, or Safari version 5 or higher. Other browsers may work, but these are the fully supported browsers.
- Click register.
- Enter your social security number and date of birth.
- Company key is: APEXBEN
- You will be asked to create a User ID and Password.
- Login using your newly created User ID and Password.
You will see a “Start Here” New Hire Enrollment button on your home page; click this button to navigate your benefits enrollment process.
At the end of the enrollment process, you will be asked to review and confirm your elections by clicking approve. If you do not receive a confirmation number, then your election is not complete.
The Benefit Guides and Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs) are available in the reference center on the Benefitsolver website.
Please note that your election must be submitted and approved in Benefitsolver by 11:59PM EST on your 30th day of employment.
Dependent Verification: In accordance with healthcare reform laws, if you choose to cover any dependents, you must provide supporting documents (e.g., birth certificate, marriage certificate, legal guardianship paperwork, etc.) for each of your dependents before your coverage will be approved. Please follow the instructions below:
1: Access the Message Center on the Benefitsolver website.
2: The message should be addressed to Keisha Washington (firstname.lastname@example.org).
3: In the subject line select document required.
4: Upload your document.
5: At the bottom of the email it will give you the option to send the email using Message Center Only. Choose this option as it is secure and does not send your information outside of the Benefitsolver system.
6: Select send.
The Benefitsolver system will send Keisha Washington an email that she has a message in the Message Center. When she logs on she will be able to access your message and attached document. Upon receipt, the Benefits team will review your documents. If there are any questions regarding your supporting documents, a member of the Benefits team will contact you. If you do not hear from the Benefits team, your transaction will be approved, and you will see the new deduction on your next pay check. Non-receipt of dependent verification documentation will result in loss of benefits for your dependents, and you will not be allowed to enroll them until open enrollment, which is normally held in August.

We know that, as a new employee, you have a lot to learn and a lot to do. It is important that you do not delay making your new hire benefits election. Per IRS guidelines, you only have 30 days to make the election. We cannot extend your enrollment window. Don’t delay. Enroll today.
Contract employees, you will have the option to participate in one of the United Health Care Major Medical Plan options after 84 days of employment. You must log on the www.benefitsolver.com
after that time to enroll in one of the United Health Care Major Medical Plan.
